GlowFury
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Welcome to GlowFury!
This is a little python project I have been working on a good while. It is a retro top-down roguelike shooter.
Thank you Gannon Gallo for creating the wonderful soundtrack!
A web version of this game is also available here.
This game is still very much a Beta, so expect frequent bugs and glitches. You can report bugs with this Google Form, I'll try to fix the issue as soon as I get the chance. If you have any suggestions for game features please leave them in the comments.
Features:
- Completely free! No micro transactions of any form. And absolutely no Ads!
- Completely offline! No internet connection required.
- Unlimited upgrades = Unlimited fun. There are no caps on how many times you can upgrade your stats. (well, until the game breaks)
- 39 different unique items.
- Unlockable items for in game coins.
- Fast-paced, edge of your seat gameplay.
- Beautiful graphics (well, maybe more like playable).
- Performance (it runs, most of the time).
- NO AI written code! All hand written.
- Full of bugs... wait, I meant features
Hints:
- Right-Click dashes.
- Left-Click shoots.
- Don't get hit by enemies or their bullets.
- Press "H" to bring up in-game tips.
The game is written in Python and the source code is available. You may edit the code however much you want, however I will warn you that I write spaghetti code, so good luck understanding anything.
If you want to support the development of this game and others like it, please consider donating, or share this game, so I don't end up a starving Developer 😢

Played web version with normal mode until wave 12 where the game suddenly crashed.
That is odd. What exactly happened when it crashed? Was it at the start/end/middle of a wave? Were you in any menu or in the middle of the game? Did you activate any abilities beforehand?
It crashed iIn the middle of the game. No abilities, because I did not use any until then. I only had upgrades, mostly damage and fire rate and some health.
Played the web version - performance not bad! Good game, I like the number of upgrades and will come back to try and unlock more of them!
